Digital Media in Education

research in new media learning environments

in (In)Conclusive: Thinking the Future of Digital Thinking

“At the same time, globally networked and participatory learning does not happen by accident. As a result of all the work in the past decade or so, it may be that a corner has been turned. Universities now see a need to provide technologies and instruction to students along with pedagogies designed to make students more canny about issues or reliability, credibility, access, security, privacy, intellectual property and so forth. Driven by a mix of market demand and comprehension of the  learning potential of new media, universities are coming to embrace new modes and forms of learning.”

John D.  & Catherine T.

The corner might has been turned but there are still a long way until learning models and forms of learning prove to be effective and spread through different levels of the learning levels.
